Biography

After studies in music and a degree in physics, David Poissonnier graduated as a sound engineer from the Centre Primus in Strasbourg. From 1994 to 2010 he was Head of Sound Engineering at IRCAM. He has collaborated with renowned composers and contributed to the sound design of numerous concerts and operas in Europe and the United States. As a live electronic musician, he has worked with ensembles such as Batida. He has recorded around 30 albums and is currently working on a research project on the work of Kaija Saariaho. He has been teaching at the HEM de Genève since 2010.
