77th CONCOURS DE GENÈVE
PUBLIC ROUND TABLE
FRIDAY 3 NOV. 6:00 PM, SALLE FRANZ LISZT, CONSERVATOIRE
Music competitions, like any other artistic competition, raise the question of judgement. How do you judge an area that can't be summed up in measurements or figures? How can we remain objective when everything leads us to make choices based on our gut feelings and emotions? How can we justify and explain our choices? These are just some of the questions that sociologist Annelies Fryberger, one of the world's leading experts in the field, has studied in depth. The Concours de Genève, together with the University of Geneva, is proud to present this round table and to reflect on what lies at the heart of its mission and existence: the evaluation of artists.
