GEKIPE PROJECT
14 Nov. 2019
8:00 PM, CERN
Programme
AN AMAZING SPECTACLE WITH MUSIC, VIDEO, ELECTRONICS AND SCIENTIFIC DISCOVERIES
The evening will take you on a journey of discovery of works composed as part of the project GeKiPe (GEsture, KInect and PErcussion) for the percussionist Philippe Spiesser. GeKiPe explores the themes of gesture as an instrument in music: detection of gesture with sensor devices and vision algorithms by computer, use of gesture as a means of controlling sound syntheses, rating of gestures for the musician and computer, and the gesture in virtual and augmented reality. Each gesture is therefore linked to a sound, an intensity or an image. A real technical and scenic performance which projects us towards the world of virtual reality.
