Biography
Composer Katharina Rosenberger is Professor of Composition at the Haute école de musique de Genève and co-director of the SONIC MATTER Festival in Zurich. She regards the act of music-making as intertwined with its environment, inherently social and anti-hierarchical. Her work questions traditional ways of producing, performing, and experiencing music. Rosenberger has received numerous awards, including the 2023 Swiss Music Award, the 2019 Guggenheim Fellowship, and the Mediaprojects/Sitemapping Award from the Swiss Federal Office of Culture in Bern.

Events
Joint final for the Composition and Conducting Competitions: the three finalist conductors will, by drawing lots, conduct one of the three finalist works for symphony orchestra from the Composition Competition, performed by the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande.
