Biography

Ettore Causa studied at the Menuhin Academy, the Manhattan School of Music, and the Yale School of Music. He won both the Peter Schidlof Prize and the John Barbirolli Prize at the Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition in 2000, marking the beginning of  career that has taken him across multiple continents. His chamber music partners have included Pascal Rogé, Boris Berman, Thomas Adès, Ana Chumachenco, and Thomas Demenga. After releasing a series of recordings with the Claves Records label, his most recent album, dedicated to the music of Johannes Brahms, was published by Le Palais des Dégustateurs.
