HIS WORK
"Marionnette" for viola and chamber orchestra
Marionnette is a work for solo viola and chamber orchestra, subtitled “bagatelle-concertante”. It evokes stories of illusion, freedom and the pseudo-fantastic, translated into music as a puppet theatre, yet without a stage, puppets or puppeteers.
It was performed during the final round on October 20th by violist Georgy Kovalev and the Orchestre de Chambre de Genève, conducted by Pierre Bleuse.
