Oxana Shilova

In 2000, Ms. Shilova graduated from the St Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire and soon after became a soloist with the Mariinsky Academy of Young Singers.  In 2007, Ms. Shilova became a state soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre.

She is prize-winner at the Stanislaw Moniuszko International Competition in Warsaw (1st prize, 2007), at the III International Elena Obraztsova Competition (1st prize, 2003) at the International Opera Singers' Competition in Geneva (2nd prize and special prize for best performance of a French work, 2003) and at the V International Rimsky-Korsakov Young Opera Singer's Competition in St Petersburg (2002)

Kseniya (Boris Godunov); Swan Princess (The Tale of Tsar Saltan) ; Tsarevna of Wondrous Beauty (Kashchei the Deathless, in concert) ; Golden Cockerel (The Golden Cockerel); Louisa (Betrothal in a Monastery); Madame Cortese (Il viaggio a Reims); Norina (Don Pasquale); Lucia (Lucia di Lammermoor); Mrs Alice Ford (Falstaff); Leïla (Les Pêcheurs de perles, in concert); Ascagne (Les Troyens); Frasquita (Carmen); Ilia (Idomeneo, re di Creta); Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro); Zerlina (Don Giovanni); Despina (Così fan tutte); Pamina (Die Zauberflöte); Klingsor's Flower Maiden (Parsifal); Naiad (Ariadne auf Naxos); Guard of the Entrance to the Temple (Die Frau ohne Schatten).

Ms. Shilova has toured with the Mariinsky Theatre  throughout Russia and abroad, also performing recitals with Larisa Gergieva in Belgium, Finland, the USA, France and Great Britain. She took part in a production of Shostakovich's operetta Moscow, Cheryomushki at the Opéra de Lyon, in 2006 she sang the role of Lucrezia (Lucrezia Borgia) at De Nederlandse Opera and in the 2008-2009 season she appeared in a new production of Rossini's opera Il viaggio a Reims, performing the role of Madame Cortese (Reims, Montpelier, Avignon, Bordeaux, Toulouse and Marseilles).

In 2011, Ms. Shilova appeared as Kseniya “Boris Godunov” with Dallas Opera.   Future contracts include the Cockerel “Golden Cockerel” with Bergen National Opera and work with the Metropolitan Opera.  Ms. Shilova appeared as Helene “Midsummer night’s dream” with the Mariinsky Theatre White Nights Festival 2012 and made her Bolshoi Theatre debut as Violetta “La Traviata” in November 2012.
