Michal Oren

Semi-finalist of the Conducting Competition 2025-2026

Biography

Named a 2026 Classic FM Rising Star, Michal Oren is an award-winning Israeli conductor. She is a participant in this year’s Gstaad Conducting Academy and the Taki Alsop Mentoring Programme. She was a Female Conductor Trainee at Opera North and took part in the Royal Philharmonic Society Women Conductors programme with Royal Northern Sinfonia. Michal won 1st and 2nd prizes in international conducting competitions in Italy (2025), Portugal (2023) and Spain (2023). She holds a Professional Diploma from the Royal Academy of Music and a master’s from the Royal College of Music.
