Samuel Seidenberg

2nd Prize horn 2004

Born in Osterburg in 1978, Samuel Seidenberg began playing the French horn at the age of 9 in the Potsdam School of Music. He subsequently studied under Kurt Palm and Christian-Friedrich Dallmann at the “Hanns Eisler” School in Berlin. In parallel, he earned his baccalaureat from the Berlin School of Music.

From 1998 to 2004, he played French horn solo with the Philharmonic Orchestras of Munich and Nuremberg. He has also performed with the Bayerische Staatsphilharmonie of Bamberg. Serving as understudy French horn soloist for many well-known German orchestras (Staatskapelle of Berlin, the NDR-Sinfonieorchester, the Bavarian Radio Symphonic Orchestra and the Hamburg Philharmonic Orchestra), he also gives solo performances with orchestras such as the Munich Chamber Orchestra and the Berlin Chamber Orchestra. Since 2003, he has been awarded a grant from the German Music Council.
