Biography
Unsuk Chin was born in 1961 in Seoul and has lived in Germany since 1985. Her music is widely acclaimed around the world and has been celebrated with a series of prestigious international awards. She was composer in residence at the Lucerne Festival, the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra, the BBC’s Total Immersion Festival, and many more. She is also a dedicated concert curator and Artistic Director. Having directed the Seoul Philharmonic’s Ars Nova and the London Philharmonia’s Music of Today series, she is currently Artistic Director of the Tongyeong Festival in Korea and the Weiwuying International Music Festival in Taiwan.

Events
Joint final for the Composition and Conducting Competitions: the three finalist conductors will, by drawing lots, conduct one of the three finalist works for symphony orchestra from the Composition Competition, performed by the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande.
