Swiss imposed works

Since its inception, the Geneva International Music Competition has been supporting the music of our time, and in particular Swiss contemporary music. This means that candidates must play an imposed work by a contemporary Swiss composer.  

Many composers such as Henri Gagnebin, Frank Martin, Heinz Holliger or more recently Eric Gaudibert and Nicolas Bolens have written works for one of the disciplines of the Geneva International Music Competition.
