Ever year since 2002, Montres Breguet has associated its corporate values with those the Geneva International Music Competition (Concours de Genève). This unique partnership exemplifies the meeting of two worlds, Haute Horlogerie and Music, both dedicated to beauty and driven by inspiration.
Breguet's centuries of tradition and keen sense of innovation in watchmaking are mirrored in the Competition's own disciplines. The participating musicians share their passion and their talent with the horological craftsmen who bring to their art a similar degree of commitment, creativity and excellence. Each with his own instruments, watchmakers and musicians do, after all, reinterpret themes and variations often composed centuries ago.
Every year, the special Breguet Coup de Cœur award salutes the performance of a promising young artist by making available the means of making a recording dedicated to his or her particular talent and sensibility.
Montres Breguet's contribution to building these artists' reputation internationally can be understood as a sincere and practical homage to classical music and a salute to Arthur Rubinstein and Sergei Rachmaninoff, both aficionados of Breguet timepieces.
