Message from Mrs Christine Sayegh

Welcome to the Geneva Competition website.

It is with great pleasure and deep emotion that I accepted the chair that was offered to me by François Duchêne in early 2010. Music accompanies me since my birth and I am convinced of its positive influence on the history of mankind. Having received principally a legal education, I will put all the energy needed, backed up by the efficient team of the Geneva Competition and the support of generous patrons, sponsors and the subsidizing authorities, to assume the task that is incumbent on us in conformity with the main aim of the Foundation, namely organize an annual competition of musical performance that reveals the talent of the most deserving young musicians and facilitate the start of their careers.

With you all, lovers of music in one way or another, I am looking forward to contributing to the shining of the Geneva Competition in the world.
