Mami Hagiwara, 23 y.o., Japan

34_hagurawa_modifi-1Born in Hiroshima, Mami started playing the piano at the age of five years with Motoko Kojima and Claudio Soares. Soon, she won many competitions for young soloists, including First Prize in National Competition in Osaka. In 2000 she became the youngest winner of the International Palma d'Oro Competition in Italy.

She enters in 2005 the class of Jacques Rouvier and Prisca Benoît at the Conservatoire National Superieur de Paris and receives a scholarship from the Foundation for Cultural Affairs of Japan. In 2010, she also enters the class of chamber music of Eric Le Sage in the Regional Conservatory of Paris.
She participated in numerous master classes and academies and has the opportunity to attend the teaching of Dominique Merlet, Henri Barda, Jorg Demus, Boris Petrusyansky and Kevin Kenner. She performs in recital and chamber music in France, Japan, Austria, Poland and the Netherlands.
