The Association of Friends of the Geneva International Music Competition

The objective of this Association is to help promote and maintain the quality and success of the Geneva Competition, in particular by:

  • organizing and financing the stay of the candidates
  • encouraging and establishing ties between the Geneva Competition and its Prize Winners.

In particular, the Association operates the Welcome Committee, which coordinates the support and involvement of volunteers concerning the candidates' stay in Geneva during the Competition. The Welcome Committee also ensures that candidates are provided with room and board for the duration of their participation, and it is also available to assist candidates with any practical questions (Statutes of the Association in PDF).
The Association of Friends of the Geneva Competition is chaired by Mrs Claude Howald.

  • 1 or 2 entries (depending on your subscription) to all rounds of the competition (including finales)
    (Youth Member : 1 entry-cat.B, Friend Member : 1 entry-cat.B, Supporter Member: 2 entries-cat.B, Donor Member : 2 entries-cat.A and 2 invitations to the receptions organised after the Prizewinners Concert and the two finales of the competition)
  • special rates at the Laureates Concert
  • special rates for some concerts by past prizewinners

How to become a member of the Association of the Competition Friends :

If you wish to become a member, you can fill out the on-line membership form.
By offering a room to a candidate, you become automatically a member of the Association and receive 2 entries for all rounds. Information and registration
